Visna Rampersad is a PhD candidate in the Epidemiology program at the School of Public Health, University of Saskatchewan. Her research focuses on the comorbidity of type 2 diabetes and depression. Visna holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Health Sciences from Wilfrid Laurier University, with minors in Biology, Chemistry, and Psychology. She also earned a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Western University.
Solomon Asumakae Asayah received his nursing degree from the University of Ghana School of Nursing and Midwifery. He later went on to pursue his Master of Nursing degree from the University of Saskatchewan College of Nursing. He has worked at the Royal University Hospital. Currently he is pursing his PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan School of Public Health on access to mental health services among immigrant populations in Canada.
Idowu A. Usman received his bachelor's degree in statistics from the Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria, and his master's degree in mathematics with a concentration in biostatistics from Georgia State University, USA. Idowu is pursuing a PhD in Epidemiology at the School of Public Health, University of Saskatchewan. His research interests span a wide range of topics, including the application of statistical models to health data, genomics data analysis, and spatial data science focused on mental health, homelessness, cardiometabolic risk, and health disparities.
Indra Lokatama is from Indonesia. He completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University-Hawaii. Originally trained as a counselor, he is interested in qualitative psychological research related to ADHD and expressive art therapy. He is currently doing his PhD in Public Health at the University of Saskatchewan.
Priyanka Das is a medical doctor from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Dhaka. She is currently in the MPH thesis program at the School of Public Health and is working on her thesis to examine the association between anxiety and alcohol use disorder.
