BSc in Biology from Queen’s University (with an emphasis on comparative animal physiology and biochemistry)
Has experience:

  1. as a research assistant (with Dr. Shelley Arnott; Queen’s University) assessing vulnerability of Daphnia to road salt applications and other anthropogenic stressors;
  2. 2. as a graduate assistant (with Dr. Diane Orihel; Queen’s University) in measuring the ocular distance, body and tail length of tadpoles to assess the toxicological impact of oil sands and pollutants on developing amphibians.
    Is currently evaluating the in vitro pharmacology of Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV) in terms of its pharmacokinetic characteristics of GI absorption, metabolic stability, plasma protein binding as well as its anti-inflammatory potential in an intestinal organoid model (under the supervision of Alcorn and Mousseau).
