2018	Excellence Award from the Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation - Top Collaborative Innovation Development Grant – Biomedical These awards are presented to those researchers or teams whose applications were ranked top in their committee for a grant competition in the past year.
2018	Outstanding Achievement Award from the Association of Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Saskatchewan This Award honors members who show technical excellence and achievement in engineering and/or geoscience in Saskatchewan.
2018	Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (FEIC) FEICs (up to twenty) are annually elected from engineers in recognition of their excellence in engineering and their services to the profession and to society.
2017	Fellow of the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (FCSME) FCSME is an honor bestowed to those who have attained excellence in mechanical engineering and who have contributed actively to the progress of their profession and of society.
2016	Achievement Award from Saskatchewan Health Research Foundation This annual award is presented to an individual in health research whose exemplary career achievements have inspired us with the drive leadership and ingenuity. Candidate are nominated by their peers and considered by an expert panel of national and local experts from a range of fields.
2016	Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (FASME) FASME is an honor bestowed to those who have had significant achievements in mechanical and multidisciplinary engineering.
2016	Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (SMIEEE) IEEE Senior Membership is an honor bestowed only to those who have made significant contributions to the profession relative to IEEE.
2015	Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Invitation Fellowship for Research in Japan (Short-term S) This fellowship program is to invite overseas researchers with distinguished records of research achievements to Japan for purposes corresponding to those records and to provide them opportunities to offer advice and cooperate in research activities throughout the host institution and also to give lectures or conduct other activities at other Japanese research institutions.
2014	College of Engineering Award for Research Achievement in Engineering The award provides an opportunity for faculty members in the College of Engineering to acknowledge research achievement of their most distinguished colleagues in the college.
2012	University of Saskatchewan New Researcher Award This award is presented annually to a member of the University research community and recognizes members of faculty for significant contributions to knowledge or artistic creativity in their areas of expertise with an emphasis on work undertaken while employed at the University.
2007	Educator of the Year This award is given by the Saskatoon Engineering Society to recognize the outstanding work in engineering education and to encourage outstanding education by others.
2002	Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) of Canada Postdoctoral Fellowship This fellowship recognized academic excellence research ability and potential and leadership and communication skills.
